Saturday 4th July 10am-12.30pm
Join us at the farm on 4th July (10am-12.30pm) for a floral workshop where you will learn to make a hand-tied Summer bouquet using sustainable floristry methods. Starting with coffee and cake, we will demonstrate how to cut, condition and arrange a hand-tied bouquet using farm-grown flowers and foliage. You will then choose flowers and create your own bouquet to take home. We’ll finish with a glass of fizz to celebrate our summer-inspired creations.
For this workshop we’ll be joined by gardening expert Nick Bailey (Gardeners’ World) - not to be missed!
Workshop includes all materials but please bring your own gloves/apron if you wish to use them.

Wednesday 30th September 6.30-9.30pm
Planning a wedding and dreaming of flowers that feel personal, seasonal and completely you? This evening workshop is designed for anyone who wants to grow some (or all!) of their own wedding flowers but aren’t sure where to begin.
Over a relaxed, hands-on session at Land Girl Flowers in Hook Norton, you’ll learn which flower and foliage varieties to grow for your wedding month and colour palette, how many flowers you’ll need for your arrangements (and what to grow to ensure these quantities), as well as how to time your sowing so everything blooms beautifully when you need it. We’ll cover the essentials: seed starting, soil preparation, succession planting, and how to get strong, straight florist‑quality stems.
You’ll walk away with a clear, personalised growing plan for your wedding, a curated list of reliable varieties, and the confidence to create something meaningful, sustainable and home-grown.
Perfect for couples, mums, bridesmaids, or anyone helping with the wedding flowers.

Thursday 1st October 7.30-9.30pm
Autumn is the best time to sow seeds for the earliest and strongest cut flowers, so join Laura at the studio for a deep dive into how to sow and nurture seeds now for stunning cut flowers next Summer.
Covering selecting and saving seed, varieties for success, sowing demonstrations, and practical advice for potting on, planting out and harvesting, and plenty of opportunity to ask questions. Session includes a cheat sheet to take home, plus some Land Girl Flower seed to sow now at home.

Sunday 29th November 10am-12.30pm
Join us for a festive workshop at Black Barn Studios, where you’ll create a large luxury wreath using a reusable wire frame, moss, locally grown foliage, berries and seed heads, finished with ribbon for maximum effect.
Lead by Laura Paterson, owner of Land Girl Flowers, you’ll be taught florist techniques for creating a beautiful Christmas wreath. Cost includes tuition, materials, coffee/tea and festive treats.
If you wish to wear gloves, please bring your own along.
